Project Update - 10/4/16

Phase 2 (Cabot St: Herrick St to Gloucester Crossing) – The week of October 3rd Middlesex will be working on the area between the sidewalks/driveways of each property to regrade and pave.

Phase 3 (Rantoul St: Southernmost part of Rantoul St to Pleasant St) – Over the next couple of months granite curbing, sidewalks and light pole mounts will be constructed.  Detouring at the southernmost portion of Rantoul Street will be necessary at times.  

Phase 4A (Rantoul St: Pleasant St to Wallis St) – Over the next couple of months granite curbing, sidewalks and light pole mounts will be constructed.  

Phase 4 (Elliott Street: From Cabot St to Rantoul St) – Middlesex will complete drainage work Wednesday October 5.  Full depth road reconstruction will occur on Elliott St beginning Thursday October 6.  This work will begin at Cabot Street and end just before the Rantoul/Elliott intersection.  The demo of sidewalks and resetting of curbs in this section will begin next year (sidewalks will be left intact for the winter).  The Rantoul St part of Phase 4 (from Elliott St to Gloucester Crossing) will be postponed until 2017.

Phase 5 (Wallis to Federal) – Full depth reconstruction will be postponed until 2017.  

Drainage Work:

-    Rantoul Street: Elliott Street to Gloucester Crossing – Drainage work will begin next week and it will last about a month.  Full depth reconstruction of the road will occur in 2017.
 
-    Cabot Street: Gloucester Crossing to Lenox Street - Drainage work is estimated to begin in November (once Middlesex has completed from Elliott St to Gloucester Crossing) and it will last about a month.  Full depth reconstruction of the road will occur in 2017.  

-    Rantoul St: Wallis to Elliott - Drainage work is estimated to begin November/December (once Middlesex has completed from Gloucester Crossing to Lenox) and will last between two and three months (weather and field conditions permitting).  Full depth reconstruction of the road will occur in 2017.  

Comcast – Replacing conduit continues on Rantoul St and is estimated to be finished by the end of October.
